Programme Overview
The IAPWS 2027 programme features meetings of the IAPWS Executive Committee, Working Group sessions, and the GSAPWS Symposium, which will take place on Wednesday.
Participants may register for the full event or purchase a ticket exclusively for the GSAPWS Symposium on Wednesday.
All meetings are open to attendees, and anyone with an interest in the topics covered is welcome to participate.
In addition to the technical programme, a range of social events and a technical tour will be available for booking as part of the conference.

The IAPWS 2027 meeting will be hosted at the GFZ Helmholtz Centre for Geosciences on the historic Telegrafenberg campus in Potsdam, Germany. The site is conveniently located close to Potsdam city centre and is easily accessible by rail, public transport, car, and through Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER).
Travel Information for the GFZ Potsdam
Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) is the nearest international airport. From BER, direct regional rail and bus services connect to Potsdam Hauptbahnhof (Central Station), with a typical journey time of around 45–60 minutes.
Potsdam is well connected to the German rail network and can be reached easily from Berlin. Frequent regional services, including RE1, as well as other regional and S-Bahn connections, operate between Berlin and Potsdam Hauptbahnhof.
The GFZ campus can be reached:
- By Bus 691 to the GFZ/Telegrafenberg area.
- On foot in approximately 15 minutes from Potsdam Hauptbahnhof.
The GFZ campus is accessible via the major motorway network surrounding Berlin and Potsdam, with convenient connections from the A10 and A115 motorways. Visitor parking information will be provided closer to the event.

All IAPWS 2027 sessions (except the Tuesday technical tour and social events) will be held in House H at the GFZ Helmholtz Centre for Geosciences (GFZ), Albert Einstein Science Park, Potsdam. The Telegrafenberg campus is home to several internationally renowned research institutes and offers a unique scientific setting overlooking the city of Potsdam.
